Are you looking for a permanent and challenging role working with large-scale machined components? On behalf of our client company in Pori, we are seeking an experienced CNC Boring Machine / Portal Milling Machine Operator for a full-time, permanent position.

You will join a skilled, international team manufacturing demanding equipment and machinery components, particularly for the marine industry.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Operation and Programming of Portal Milling and Boring Machines: Setup and machine-side programming of large-scale components using Heidenhain control systems.

• Large-Scale Machining: Milling and machining of large structural components (working dimensions extending up to several meters).

• Material Knowledge: Machining stainless steel and carbon/structural steel for single-piece and small-series production.

• Interpretation of Technical Drawings: Reading complex engineering drawings and planning machining sequences accordingly.

• Precision Measurements and Quality Control: Conducting independent in-process measurements using precision measuring tools to consistently achieve tight 0.02 mm tolerances.

Requirements for the Applicant

• Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience operating boring or portal milling machines (heavy machining, single-piece, and small-series production).

• Control System: Solid proficiency in Heidenhain control systems and machine-side programming skills.

• Language Skills and Work Permit: Proficiency in Finnish or good English language skills, along with a valid right to work in Finland.

• Work Ethic and Shift Work: Proactive, efficient, and precise approach to work, with readiness for 2-shift work (Mon–Fri 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00).

What We Offer

• Pay: According to the Finnish Collective Agreement for the Technology Industry (Teknologiateollisuuden TES), €15.00–€18.00 / hour (based on skills and experience).

• Employment Relationship: Permanent, full-time position (40 hours/week).
