Are you looking for a permanent role working with heavy components in the demanding metal industry? On behalf of our client company in Pori, we are seeking an experienced CNC Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) Operator for a full-time, permanent position.

You will join a skilled workforce manufacturing large-scale machinery and equipment components, particularly for the marine industry.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Operation and Programming of Vertical Turning Lathes: Setup, machining, and machine-side programming of large components using Fanuc control systems.

• Heavy Metal Machining: Turning large castings and structural components (diameters up to 5 m). Materials include stainless steel and carbon/structural steel.

• Interpretation of Technical Drawings: Reading dimensions, geometric tolerances, and complex engineering drawings.

• Precision Measuring Tools: Conducting independent in-process measurements using micrometers, calipers, and machine-integrated measuring devices.

• Adherence to Tight Tolerances: Manufacturing single-piece and small-series components with precision down to 0.02 mm.

Requirements for the Applicant

• Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC vertical turning and heavy machining (single-piece and small-series production).

• Control System: Solid proficiency in Fanuc control systems and machine-side programming skills (WinCAM or Mastercam experience is considered an asset).

• Language Skills and Work Permit: Proficiency in Finnish or good English language skills, along with a valid right to work in Finland.

• Work Ethic and Shift Work: A flexible attitude and readiness for 2-shift work (Mon–Fri 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00).

What We Offer

• Pay: According to the Finnish Collective Agreement for the Technology Industry (Teknologiateollisuuden TES), €15.00–€18.00 / hour (based on skills and experience).

• Employment Relationship: Permanent, full-time position (40 hours/week).
